The African Indigenous Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development (AIFES) was
born out of the desire to bring together dedicated intellectuals and activists to start examining
the nexus between energy justice, environmental protection, Climate Change and sustainable
development of Indigenous communities

WHAT WE DO
AIFES strives to empower the Ogoni people and other marginalized peoples in the world by developing programmes and projects in the areas of environment, energy, extractives, human rights, good governance and sustainable development. AIFES carries out its programmes and campaigns through the following actions
